The Trail of tears healing beads came to be known to the American Indian tribes who were forced to march 13,000 miles from the eastern regions of the United States to Tennessee and Oklahoma, wherein many died along the way. In time, stalks of corn-like pods sprung from the ground and it was said to be the fallen ancestors of American Indians guiding and healing from their place in the Universe.
